NURTURING Connection Through the Art of Dialogue.
In a world that's never been more ‘connected’ digitally… yet feels increasingly fragmented, we are creating spaces where people can genuinely listen to each other, explore different perspectives and discover what becomes possible when strangers sit together in honest conversation.
Common Sensing is a series of facilitated conversation ‘circles' that bring diverse community members together to practise the art of dialogue.
OUR GUIDING QUESTION IS: ‘How can we get better at collaborating through our differences to nurture more understanding communities?’
The challenge is to practise; one conversation at a time.
COMMON SENSING
2026 Dates COMING SOON for DIALOGUE sessions in London, Bristol & ONLINE.

We ground our practice in 'Dialogue' as conceived by theoretical physicist David Bohm. This isn't casual conversation - it's a disciplined process for creating shared meaning and collective understanding.
Bohmian Dialogue helps groups:
Observe how hidden values and assumptions shape our behaviour
Notice cultural differences before they become conflicts
Build shared meaning across different perspectives
Create space for collective learning and creativity
-
Safe spaces for difficult conversations. Our primary goal is to help people get better at disagreeing - and finding understanding even in disagreement. Through structured dialogue sessions, participants practise:
Deep listening that allows for honest, non-judgmental sharing
Holding discomfort and sitting with contradictions without rushing to resolution
Embracing multiple truths and perspectives with genuine respect
Collective learning where the whole group creates something new together
Finding harmony through shared meaning, not forced agreement
-
For Participants: Each session brings together a group of strangers for a flowing, non-directed conversation. You'll experience what becomes possible when we truly listen, when we allow space for disagreement, and when we collectively explore questions rather than debate answers. Many participants describe feeling more connected, more hopeful, and more capable of engaging across differences.
For Communities: These conversations build capacity for collaboration. They create networks of people who've practised holding complexity together, who understand that hope can come from not knowing, and who've experienced the creative potential of genuine dialogue.
“The point is that this notion of dialogue and common consciousness suggests that there is some way out of our collective difficulties.” – David Bohm
WE ARE LOOKING FOR COLLABORATORS
initialLY WE PROPOSE A series of FACILITATED ‘Common Sensing’ DIALOGUE CIRCLES designed to serve the local community and test our approach.
THEN WE WILL BE DEVELOPING SELF-ORGANISING PRACTICES TO EMPOWER COMMUNITIES AND SOCIAL ORGANISATIONS TO HOST THEIR OWN DIALOGUE CIRCLES.
Whether you're curious about dialogue, want to connect across differences, or simply wonder what becomes possible when strangers sit together - we invite you to be part of this experiment in collective possibility.
